TreadCal
An incline workout can involve a substantial climb, even though you finish in the same place you started.
TreadCal uses the treadmill's speed and incline to calculate vertical gain and estimate active calories. After a workout, it gives the session a simple climb receipt: how far you rose, with a hill or mountain-sized comparison to help make sense of it.
The calorie number is deliberately conservative, with the underlying estimate and its assumptions available in the details. Calibration and handrail use matter. The climb comparison describes the session; it doesn't turn a mountain into another target to complete.
The Apple Watch handles the workout, while the iPhone holds setup, calibration, and history. The app is in development. Real-device validation and release work are still part of the project.
